The violin is one of the most beautiful but also one of the most complex instruments in the world. The right guide/teacher from the outset is paramount and is very important for future development and motivation and the saying goes ‘You can’t build a great building on a weak foundation’. With strong roots we nurture a great tree.

As a teacher with 20+ years of experience and a violinist with a Masters Degree, I have learnt to adapt to my students needs, offering a tailored and bespoke teaching approach.

In my lessons I concentrate mainly on:

Correct posture
Intonation
Articulation
Rhythm: which includes the ability to count correctly
Basic and advanced music theory

For me it is very important to share my knowledge and skills in the most easy, fun and understandable way. So that after each session my pupil’s feel even more motivated to practise than when they started the lesson. Weekly lessons are a boost of confidence and fun. My aim is that I want to teach so that my pupils are able to teach themselves, they become their own teacher at home!
